The Howards

Today, in order to give Marlene some time to study, Ahow brought Adelaide & Miriam up to Fowler for a visit. The girls started out extremely shy, but quickly got down to business playing with every toy in the house!

We ate some spaghetti out on the screened in porch and the adults watched some (really bad) Colts football. Fortunately, Miriam & Taryn didn't realize that they should be embarrassed to be decked out in Colts gear.

Taryn had some trouble saying both their names. She managed to call Adelaide "Addie", but would hardly take a stab at Miriam. While I was taking these pictures, I told Taryn "Ok, now get with Adelaide." She pointed at Adelaide and said "That one?"

Thanks for the visits Howards! Hopefully next time we get together Marlene will be done with her studies!!

While getting an address out of my address book, I came across a random piece of paper I had tucked away long ago. Apparently, the ideas jotted down were far too valuable to throw away.

What was on it? St. Patrick's Day t-shirt ideas. Here I brought some of them to life:

Minus the shamrock, this one could be worn year-round. Pretty much sums up college...

This shirt is just accurate and informative. A little about your heritage, a lot about your drinking problem.

And this shirt was Ahow's creation. Doesn't leave much to the imagination, but it could save a life. I guess this is one of those times that Kathryn's invention, the adult sized Bumbo seat would really come in handy.

Congratulations to the Howards!

Yesterday Ahow & Marlene welcomed little Adelaide & little Miriam into the world! They were clearly anxious to meet everyone since they were born 11 weeks early! Adelaide was 2 lbs 6 oz and Miriam was 2 lbs 2 oz. So, they should outweigh their dad & their uncle Lucas any day now. (Those Howard boys are bean poles!)

Oh, and another congrats to Ahow for starting off my Monday morning with a visual of Marilyn Manson banging Rose McGowan to the song "Rock me Like a Hurricane"... (From the movie Jawbreaker.)

I saw some at Auto Zone and had a flashback to him always wearing gloves when he was drinking at a bar. And somehow he still picked up chicks... Sometimes.
