Lee and I had a great time this weekend! We planned to meet in between DeMotte & Norfolk and spend the weekend. Halfway is pretty much southeastern Ohio or western West Virginia. I started looking around for cool things to do in the area, and came across whitewater rafting. I ended up having to drive about 3 hours further than Lee (he'll hear about that for awhile), but it was worth it to do something fun.
We stayed in a cabin, which really pleased Lee. He apparently has always wanted to stay in a cabin. Whatever! It was an A-frame and probably could have slept about 6 or 7 people. It was near a gorgeous lake. If we had more time, we would have probably rented a pontoon and gotten some lake time in. Friday night, I got in late, so we just chilled in our cabin. Saturday morning we went whitewater rafting.

Our leader (in the back of the boat) was Stu, and he was awesome! We got put with 2 guys that just graduated from high school the week before, and then 4 crazy Harley riders from Waynesboro, VA. It was definitely a fun group! I was a little scared when they were talking about falling out of the boat and getting stuck underneath it. But, I managed to stay in the boat the whole time. Thank goodness! Lee fell out once. If you look in the picture, instead of paddling, I'm holding on to the side... That could be part of the reason.
We had a great time, though, and Lee and I hope to go back sometime in the future.
