A long long time ago, when I was 16 years old, Jamie & I always sang the song "Jack & Diane" by John Cougar Mellencamp (yeah, Indiana boy!). We liked the part that said "Hold on to sixteen as long as you can. Changes come around real soon make us women and men."
We were a little bummed when we turned 17, but we moved onto a new song. "Dancing Queen" by Abba. "Dancing queen, young and sweet only seventeen."
Today in the car, this song came on and I had the realization that soon, THIS is going to have to be Jamie & my song. "Next Thirty Years" by Tim McGraw.Oh my next thirty years,
Im gonna watch my weight
Eat a few more salads and not stay up so late
Drink a little lemonade and not so many beers
Maybe Ill remember my next thirty years
Oh, John Mellencamp, you are so wise. Changes came around real soon and made us women & men!

He wrote it before he was famous and his version is much better.
