Sweet Home Chicago - Exam Center 0138

Today was my EA-2B exam. It went pretty much as expected when you've only made it through 1/2 your study manual. I realized going in my only chance of passing was for them to give us the exact same test they gave in 2007. Not likely.

Last exam sitting, I was in good ol' Richmond, VA (they don't offer actuarial exams in Norfolk). In Richmond, I was the ONLY person taking EA-2A. Yup, it was just me & the proctor. Quite a change from my years in Chi-town (one of the bigger exam locations).

Today it was SO good to be taking my exam back in Chicago. I knew EVERYONE!! My former Deloitte co-workers were making fun of me afterwards. I saw BSmith, Brendan, Griffin, Monica, Abel, Brandon (from PWC), Matt Groeller (who asked about Fubar), Janelle & Kyle. Even the people I didn't know I recognized as co-workers of my friends. Some of the people I couldn't place still looked familiar (did we makeout at a seminar or something?). It was great to be back... Where everybody knoooooows your name (Cheers theme).

Whenever people ask me how I know so many actuaries in the city, I basically say that is what happens when you are friends with lots of other actuaries... And you drink a lot.
