This is MY weekend now...

It sounds silly, but I still have trouble wrapping my head around the fact that I get to be celebrated on Mother's Day now... I guess it makes sense since I have focused on my mom and grandma on this weekend for 30 years of my life and this is only my 2nd Mother's Day.

Fortunately for me, Lee, Taryn and my mom have not forgotten that I'm a mom!! Lee and Taryn teamed up to make me the sweetest card I've gotten in a lot of years.

Taryn and the ladies at daycare made me a card with some tea and this Mother's Day puzzle.

And Lee fixed up our awesome old bike with new tires, a light and a toddler seat for me! I smell bike rides to the Fowler pool this summer!

Then, my mom took the bike theme and ran with it buying Taryn and I both bike helmets!

I feel very appreciated and special thanks to my great little family. Thank you for all the toughtful gifts. But, let's face it, the best gift I've been given is this little munchkin that calls me mommy!!

My First Mother's Day

*
Yesterday was my first mother's day... We went out to lunch, Lee and Taryn gave me some flowers and a card. My mom gave me a day at the spa including a massage, pedicure & haircut. Seriously, that woman can read my mind!!

We went out to lunch. We spent time with my mom and my grandma.

However, there was one "gift" that I received that I definitely didn't ask for.

A sick baby. Doh.

She wasn't just sick, she was clingy, crying, miserable sick. And all of our Tylenol has been recalled. Lee made a run for some generic brand baby medicine. It helped a bit and Taryn perked up and played with her Grandma Mary. However, in the midst of her playing, she would see me and remember that she was being miserable and come want mommy-hugs and to cry.

Today, thankfully, was a much better day!

Nothing much is new here...

*
Sorry for the lack of posts, other than to talk about television. Things are rather dull around here. I am no longer commuting in to Chicago. It's a huge relief since I was scared to death of going into labor up there. However, it gives me a lot of "home time". My big outtings usually include trips to CVS or walks around the neighborhood. Neither of these really create much to blog about.

We're closing in on 10 days from my due date (tomorrrow). The doctor told us that she would not let me go more than a week past my due date. Thank goodness. (Sorry Reuter, no June baby!) At least there is an end in sight. This little girl seems awfully comfortable. And Lauren is getting LARGER.......

This weekend is Mother's Day. Don't forget folks! We're going to Monticello to see Lee's mom, Lafayette to see my mom, and Kokomo to see my grandma. Quite the triangle of Indiana fun! But, I'm not-so-secretly hoping that all plans are called off due to having to go pop out a baby.

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY to all the mothers out there. And to everyone else. Happy Friday!

Happy Mothers Day to my MOM!

From back in the days when she wore a dress that looked like a really long man's dress shirt...

To now... She's always been the best mom I could have asked for!
And, of course, Happy Mother's Day to my grandma... And her "Bratz" doll. I'll be having lunch with my mom & grandma on Sunday. Mexican food at the Hacienda! Good choice Grandma!

And finally to my mother-in-law, Elaine. Soon her baby Lee will be home for good! I know how much she worries about him when he's gone.

And Happy Mother's Day to all the mom's that read my blog! Don't forget to call your mother on Sunday! Even if you're hungover from a toga party or something.
