Congratulations King George!!!

George Strait just scored his 56th number one hit with "I Saw God Today". He now holds the record for most #1 hits in any genre. The song is on his Troubadour album... Which I STILL haven't bought yet!! I'm a bad fan!

"I would just like to say thanks to all my fans out there," says Strait. "To have a number one record is very special, whether it's your first or one of many. 'I Saw God Today' is a beautifully written song which reaches very tender places in many people's hearts. I would like to thank Rodney Clawson, Monty Criswell, and Wade Kirby and congratulate them on the success of their efforts in writing this great song. God Bless You All."

Way to go King George! I hope you are around for many more #1's!!!

She Likes It In the Morning - Clay Walker

This is my favorite song right now. Well, this a cover of it. The real thing is by Clay Walker. It's such a sweet song!

Clint listens to 103.5???

In the evenings on 103.5 Kiss FM, they have a topic and people can call or text in with their response.

Well, today's questions was: If money was no object and every Chicago landmark was for sale, which one would you buy?

One person texted in that they would buy Wrigley Field. I know, I know, that doesn't sound like Clint. The text then went on to say that he would buy the field, light the field on fire, piss on the ashes, then sell them to sad, crying Cubs fans. Now THAT sounds like Clint!!

The Bachelor - Revisited in the Final Three

We are down to 3 ladies left in the running for Matt's heart on The Bachelor: London Calling. Last night he sent home Noelle. I was a little surprised.Totally not the move I would have made. I would have sent home Chelsea. Anyway, I wanted to take a look at the three remaining girls and look back at what my "first impressions" were back when this whole thing started.

Amanda R. - As she walked up she had her hands behind back. She's kind of awkward but endearing. Collarbone = yuck. Kept getting HICCUPS!! Somehow she got the first impression rose later in the evening. Matt and I clearly don't have the same taste.
I am pretty "meh" about Amanda. Last night she hired actors to play a prank on Matt and pretend to be her parents. Matt said he liked it, but I don't know. I would have been like "WTF?" Her hiccups seemed to have died down a little bit, but it is still freaking weird and annoying!

Chelsea - Self-proclaimed arm wrestling champ. After Matt arm wrestled her, he had a good line: "I only arm wrestle women. Pregnant women." (It was funnier with a Brit accent.)
Chelsea is a weirdo. If I were Matt, I would have sent her home last night. She is always "rough". Like she never wants to hold hands with him, she has some weird phobia about it. I don't know. She just doesn't seem very cuddly at all. And he obviously has an issue with that. But, for some reason he keeps her. Whatev!

Shayne - PUKE. Later in the evening she blatently fished for compliments by asking Matt if he liked her dress. It would have been awesome if he had said NO.
Surprisingly, Shayne is probably my favorite of the 3 that are left. I think she has improved over the show from where she was that first night. I think she went in to the show looking for publicity for her acting career, but I do believe that her values have changed. However, they say women turn into their moms, and if that is the case, Matt should run the other way! Her mom looked like she had WAY WAY WAY too much plastic surgery. It was painful to look at!

It is interesting to see how different the girls are now vs. that first night. I can't wait to see who he proposes to... IF he proposes. They always make it look like they do and a lot of times they don't!

My stalking-ness likes...

So, I was playing around on Google Maps today (it's clearly a Friday), and I discovered that some places have a "street view" option. Sweet! You can use arrows to move along down the street and zoom in and look at stuff. This is an amazing stalking tool!

I was trying to figure out when all these pictures might have been taken. So, I was looking for vehicles. I finally found this of my grandparents' old house.

In the driveway is my mom's car & my uncles. And that's my cousin's van out front. This is awesome! So, the pictures were definitely taken last year (while my grandparents' still lived there). I'm narrowing it down. Back to my research!

Survivor - GREAT episode

Last night's episode of Survivor was a good one! Don't read on if you haven't watched it yet and you plan to...

OK, that was your chance to stop reading.

So, for those of you that don't remember, in the previous episode, Jason had given Eliza what he thought was the immunity idol, but was really just a stick. This was pretty funny. Eliza tried to play it at tribal counsel and got the boot.

At the beginning of this episode, everyone is questioning Jason about the stick. Basically, everyone realizes at this point that Ozzy has the idol. So, not only is he the best player, he has the idol too. This is not good!

They have a reward challenge and the winners get to go to a small village nation called Yap. One guy, Erik, eats a ton, drinks a bunch of Micronesian beer, and keeps chewing on these leaves that are like tobacco. No surprise, he ends up hurling at the side of the village. Who hasn't been there?

Now, onto the immunity challenge. Jason KNOWS he is not popular around camp. I feel kind of bad for him. I'm not really sure why no one likes him, but whatever. Jason knows his only hope to stay in the game is to win this immunity. For immunity, they have to stand with their arms over their head. If their arm drops, a big bucket of colored stuff pours on them and they are out. Well, Jeff starts offering them food and people start dropping out fast. It finally comes down to Jason & Parvati. (Mind you, SIX freaking hours have gone by. My arm would have fallen off long ago!) So, they start trying to convince Jason to give up. Then Jeff offers up food for the whole tribe if either Jason or Parvati will give up. Finally, the whole tribe "PROMISES" not to vote Jason out if he quits. Most of them have their fingers crossed. So, he throws in the towel. Dumb move! Come on!!

So, Parvati has immunity, and everyone is ready to go back on their word and vote Jason out. Really, besides being a jerk move, it is pretty smart. I mean, Jason is only one member of the jury, and he is going to be pissed at EVERYONE, so who cares? But, in a genius move, Parvati convinces people to secretly vote for Ozzy. This was dangerous because Ozzy & Parvati are supposed to be in an alliance. If Ozzy had thought something was up and played the idol, it would have been trouble. But, in the end, everyone played it off perfectly and Ozzy AND the idol got sent home! It's a whole new game now!

This episode was probably the most exciting I had seen in awhile. This was more classic Survivor. I hope the backstabbing continues! I can't wait to see who wins!

There is a bad history of people not playing immunity idols and getting voted out. James had TWO and got voted out. I think people just get too cocky with those things. If I were on Survivor and I had the idol, I would play that thing!! In his closing interview, Ozzy was PISSED! He was swearing and saying he hated people. It was great!

Just a couple notes

* This week has FLOWN by. And the weather is finally getting tolerable. This is what Norfolk was like in January!

* Last night I set my DVR for Farmer Wants a Wife. I'm pretty pumped about it!

* Only one more week until new episodes of LOST are back. I have been fiending like a crack addict.

* Lee gets into Scotland tomorrow. Lucky bastard! While I get to spend the weekend in Kokomo, IN... It reminds me of Christmas '06. I was looking at our checking account and from Lee I see charges for Ski Dubai. And from me: Rural King in Lafayette. Not fair!

* One week until Nashville! Michelle's training for N-ville is wrapping up... But this weekend MY training is just beginning. Gotta get that tolerance back up!

This is not good...

I wrote an email this morning and at the end I said "...make sure I have the right stuff".

And now THIS is lodged into my brain.

(Did I seriously think this was cool back when I was young?)

See what Indiana does to ya?

It MAKES you party!

CROWN POINT, Indiana – After a day of taking shots at rival Sen. Barack Obama over his "bitter" remarks, Sen. Hillary Clinton relaxed in Crown Point, Indiana and took a shot of a different kind – Crown Royal whiskey.

Clinton was at Bronko’s Restaurant having a beer when the bartender asked, “You want a shot with that Hillary?” After some deliberation, Clinton settled on a shot of Crown Royal, a Canadian whiskey.

Later in the evening, the Democratic presidential hopeful also sat down and had some pizza.
